Going Off the Grid

As my husband and I prepare to go on a much needed vacation, I am also preparing to go “off the grid”.  Going off the grid will be somewhat challenging for me, as I am slightly addicted to my smartphone and all that it allows me access to.

Going off the grid for me will mean giving up the following:

● My beloved smartphone, including Words with Friends and Ruzzle (I never caught the buzz of Candy Crush), and texting. 😥

● Email – work (this will be easy!) and personal

● LinkedIn, my social media outlet of choice.  I am not on Facebook, Twitter (I tried professionally, but couldn’t keep up), Instagram, Pinterest or any other social media platform that exists.

● MommyWurk.com – no blogging during this time.  My therapy will have to come in other forms, like spa treatments and the like.  😆

I will need all the support I can get as I embark on this challenging journey away from “civilization” (our version of it, anyway).  I am sort of looking forward to not being available for phone, email or social media interaction.   I am actually hoping to clear my mind of all distractions, responsibility, stress and unfruitful thoughts .

Maybe you should join me…

Until next time-

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:2 NIV)

God’s best-
